There are many different ways to break ties in poker. Some methods are more common than others, but they all serve the same purpose: to decide who wins a hand. These methods include the suit ranking (clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades), card deals, and putting in one chip of a lower denomination than the rest.

During a poker game, players combine their hole cards with the community cards to make a poker hand.
